In 1997, I participated in a study abroad program in Graz, Austria through the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I met some fantastic friends there. About three years ago, a few of us were talking about how it would be really fun to have a 20 year reunion and go back to Graz with our families. The momentum really picked up and it is happening this June. Brad and I are first taking our girls to England, where we will be visiting Cornwall with a home base in Tintagel, before heading to Stonehenge and Avebury. We fly to Croatia and meet up with two other families in Split-Trogir, Croatia. We are chartering a sailboat and sailing to some of Croatia’s stunning islands. From Split, we are renting a couple of cars and making a pit stop in the beautiful National Park of Krka. We will head on to Graz, Austria and have our reunion. We will split off from one of the families and head north to the lake and mountain district nearby Salzburg where we will explore the beautiful outdoors. From there, we go our separate ways. Brad and I will take the girls to Munich, Germany for a few days. Then Brad will take the girls to Amsterdam to fly home and I meet up with my first friend from childhood, Megan, and will join her and her daughter in Leon, Spain to hike part of the Camino.
